FredU has a strong background in multidisciplinary research, spanning biotech and agri-food sectors among others and is active various European networks. It supported research and development activities through financing, mentoring, and cooperation with key stakeholders in its region. It participated in over 200 national and EU funded projects. FredU’s involvement in industrial symbiosis and bioeconomy working groups further highlights its central role is supporting sustainability and circular economy principles in Cyprus.
Partner role in BioINSouth
FredU will lead the analysis of the bioeconomy policy landscape in the regions of interest in Task 5.2, as well as Task 6.1. with the co-development of policy recommendations for sustainability and circularity in industrial bio-based systems, It is also involved in several other WPs (WP2, WP3, WP5).
