BioINsouth extends its participants in the consortium, and potential replication regions, with the addition of Turkey. Turkey’s bioeconomy strategy focuses on leveraging its rich agricultural and forestry resources to promote sustainable development. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry plays a key role in this strategy, emphasizing the importance of biowaste and renewable energy sources. In the Marmara region, there is significant potential for biofuels derived from agricultural and industrial waste. This regional focus aims to enhance energy production while reducing environmental impact.
